CLIO Cherish Spring Collection 2023SS.

🌸 CLIO Cherish Spring Collection is one of CLIO's most recent collection that was released for Spring & in the beginning was exclusively only available to purchase for Japan through CLIO's Rakuten Store but is now available on CLUBCLIO's website!

CLIO Professional is a Korean cosmetic brand founded in 1993 that specializes in colour tones. CLIO came from a name of a Greek muse who symbolizes History & Honor, the brand was created to celebrate Women who challenge the "New Me" through makeup and make their life history wonderful. CLIO's philosophy of "Practical Professional" providing easy-use products but excellent performance. Other than CLIO Professional, CLIO Cosmetics also has several other brands under their umbrella such as Peripera, Goodal, Healing Bird, DERMATORY, A.Black & Twinkle Pop.

CLIO Professional has won several awards in the past recent years, which include Best Cushion Foundation & Best Foundation in Powder Room Beauty Awards 2022, 1st Place for Best Mascara/Eyeliner & 1st Place for Base Makeup in 2021 Olive Young Awards.

In this Cherish Spring collection CLIO released x1 10pan Eyeshadow Palette, x2 Sheer Lip Tints shades, & x1 Limited Edition Cushion Foundation. All products have CLIO's pre-existing formula's just in limited edition Cherry Blossom / Sakura packaging! 🌸

I would classify them as an affordable brand where their prices are similar or comparable to Western/Asian drug store (Etude House / Rom&nd / Peripera) but some of their formula's are similar to middle range Korean products. Concept & Packaging :

CLIO's has been killing it with their recent releases & the Cherish Spring Collection is no exception! It is such a pretty, romantic & feminine collection, CLIO to me has always done a wonderful job at creating & curating collections. The theme of this collection is focus around Cherry Blossoms / Sakura which is just perfect for Spring & is no wonder was mainly targeted for a Japan audience.

The collection has a very kawai and lovers of Cherry Blossoms / Sakura definitely don't want to miss out! The Cherish Spring Collection centers around a gradient of pink tones that really do resembles Cherry Blossoms / Sakura. The collection is heavy embellished with printed images of the Cherry Blossom / Sakura petals place specifically around the packaging giving it an elegant presentation overall. I also love that CLIO adds small elements like the Cherry Blossoms / Sakura cut out shape in the cushion, it really adds a unique touch. Overall, so in love with this collection and very happy to have purchased it.

Products :

The images below are some of the products I purchased from the Collection/Brand.

Pro Eyes Palette (#102 Cherish Spring). CLIO released a x1 10pan eyeshadow palette for this collection. The shades in the palette range from pretty muted pink shades to vibrant pink shades. The palette also has some nice neutral beige & brown shades as well that really give me Cherry Blossom / Sakura Branch vibes with this colour story. The palette consist of many different types of formulas ranging from x3 Mattes, x3 Matte Glitter, x1 Shimmer & x3 Shimmer Glitter that all have their different formulas.

The formula of the Mattes (Pure Pink, Cherry Flutter, Spring Brown) are super soft and silky but is also abit powdery/chalky at the same time. The mattes has quite abit of kickback using a brush and majority of pigmentation is decent but the colours do need to be built up. The lighter shades are actually decent for me in pigment and did show up well on my skintone. The mattes also blended & layered well.

The Shimmer shade (Light Love) is soft and silky but also very powdery at the same time. The shade has tiny micro glitters along with a base sheen to the formula. The pigment is sheer but the shades can be layered & built-up for a nice natural shine. The shimmer shades in my opinion are applied best with finger tips.

The formula of the Matte Glitter (Scent of Flowers, Every Moment, & Call Mine) has the same base formula as the matte shades just with added scattered micro glitter combined. The pigmentation is decent but the glitter shades just fly everywhere when you try to buff the colour in. This kind of formula is my least favourite just because it somewhat always becomes a hot mess with tons of glitter fallout.

The Shimmer Glitter (Shining Snow, Love Petal & Glow Avenue) are all soft and silky feel to them. All shades have tiny micro glitters scattered compactly together creating a base to the formula. The pigment is sheer but the shades can be layered & built-up for a nice shine. Not very chunky or your typical type of big glitter formula but very pretty nonetheless. The shimmer glitter shades in my opinion are applied best with finger tips.

Honestly I do really like the all the shades and find the palette to be very versatile and suitable for both a pretty romantic day look & a smoky sultry night look. The pigmentation was really not bad in my opinion & better compared to the Floral Tea Garden Palette. I will definitely be using this more & have been leaning towards pink tones for Spring!

Dewy Syrup Tint (#101 Sunshine Coral). From this collection CLIO released x2 shades of their Dewy Syrup Tint formula, all shades are exclusive to the Cherish Spring collection but formula is an existing range. The shade that I purchased from this collection is #101 which is a pretty peachy pink shade.

The Dewy Syrup Tint has a gel like texture that is lightweight and is very comfortable on the lips. The formula has good pigmentation, it covered my dark spots and gave my lips a nice wash of colour. The formula layers really well without feeling stringy or goopy on the lips and the shine is very nice, not overly glossy but has a nice reflectiveness to the finish that is slightly less or comparable to other glossy tints. The tinting effect is to me not very immediate, and the tint doesn't last very long compared to the Pure Glossy Tint.

I notice that after sometime the formula sinks into the lip leaving the tint but also making the lips feel moisturized. Overall, it's a nice formula & to me is very similar to the Laka Fruity Lip Tints. The Dewy Syrup Tint gives the lips a pretty wash of colour that is comfortable & hydrating.

Kill Cover The New Foundwear Cushion (04 Ginger23) For this collection CLIO released their Kill Cover The New Foundwear Cushion in limited edition packaging. I actually have already tried and own this cushion in the cute Koshort packaging but decided to get this because of the limited edition packaging!

The formula is very lightweight, has the consistency of a typical cushion foundation. The formula has solid medium coverage, is easy buildable, blendable & layers well without looking patchy. The cushion has a beautiful natural semi-matte finish that is still skin like but still has a slightly dewy radiance to the skin. The cushion evens out my skin tone but my dark spots & undereye area are slightly visible and still need some concealer. It has a good amount of SPF, and you can definitely smell it in the formula. I find it does make my T-Zone oily-er and I have to touch up throughout the day. The New Foundwear will definitely smudge if wearing a mask as well, much more compared to the Fixer cushion formula. I also find that the New Foundwear formula is alot for forgiving & flexible in terms of application & play time. Even after some times, you are still able to move & layer the product around without it setting too quickly.

Overall, I think it's a good cushion & will suit combo skin the best. If you lean more to extreme on either Oily or Dry, I don't think this will work for you. I think I still prefer CLIO's Fixer Cushion for my oily skin compared to this in terms of wear time, but finish the New Foundwear looks so much more natural.

CLIO is well know for their coverage in base makeup products and I do also agree. Out of all the cushions I tried & owned (25+) , CLIO is the best out of all the K-Beauty brands and their Kill Cover Fixer Cushion is one of my highest ranking.

For the Cherish Spring collection, I think CLIO again has done such a great job with this collection from the concept, packaging & formulas. Even though all the products for this collection is all from their existing range, it really did showcase some of CLIO's best selling products. I also prefer this colour story as compared to the Floral Tea Garden Collection, both are stunning but the vibrancy of the Cherish Spring eyeshadow palette will suit alot more skintones in my opinion.

Hopefully you guys manage to pick it up, I purchased this collection directly from the CLUBCLIO website where they have INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING. Thank you for reading & hope this was helpful. If you liked it continue reading other posts, or come back for more updates and future blog posts!
