Espoir 2024 Hushed Cherry Collection (Amorepacific)

Espoir is an established Korean beauty brand under parent company Amore Pacific Corporation. Amore Pacific is a Huge South Korean beauty and cosmetics conglomerate with 30 beauty, personal care, and health brands under their umbrella. Brands under their umbrella include Sulwhasoo, Laneige, Mamonde, Etude House, AMOREPACIFIC, Innisfree, Aritaum, Mamonde and even Hanyul.

Espoir debuted in 2004 by Amore Pacific & they focusing more on professional makeup products. Espoir originates from the French word meaning "Hope", with that Espoir's concept/mission is "Power of Transformation", believing that all woman wants to express their individuality, gain confidence, and feel empowerment through their makeup and beauty rituals. This South Korean cosmetic brand offers a wide range of color palettes and expert make-up solutions that will inspire women to transform their looks and reveal their boldness.

I would classify them as an affordable makeup brand where their prices are similar or comparable to Western/Asian drug store (CLIO / Nyx / Flower Knows / Dasique) but some of their skincare products are similar to middle range / high-end Korean price range. If you are interested in knowing more on the products and my thoughts please continue reading!

Concept & Packaging :

The entire concept of Espoir is a brand that allows all women to express their individuality, gain confidence, and feel empowerment through their makeup and beauty rituals. Espoir's whole aesthetic & being a Pro-Makeup brand is very powerful & sleek at the same time. Through their philosophy of  "Power of Transformation" with makeup, they empower women to be bolder & more confidence with themselves.

Packaging wise to me has a very bold yet sophisticated feel, the packaging uses minimal feminine shapes & instead choose sharp angles that don't over complicate but lends to their sleek persona. The packaging colour ranges but their main colour is a bright bold red that can be seen on their logo & many prominent products (cushion, liquid foundations, lip products, etc.).

Overall, I'm definitely a huge fan of their branding & aesthetics. Collectively all their products feels very cohesive as a brand & I love that they provide pro-makeup quality but also doesn't feel intimidating.

Products :

Below are some of the products I purchased from the Collection & Brand.

Real Eye Palette (Hushed Cherry Edition). For this collection Espoir released an 8pan eyeshadow palettes. This Hushed Cherry edition eyeshadow palette mainly comprises out of a variety cool pinks shades. The palette consist of many different types of formulas ranging from x5 Mattes, x1 Shimmer Balm, x1 Shimmer Glitter & x1 Glitter that all have their different formulas.

The formula of the Mattes (Sorbet, Mature Rosy, Hushed Cherry, Fudge & Blushed Cherry) are super soft and silky but is also abit powdery/chalky at the same time. The mattes has slight kickback using a brush but not so much to be concerned about. They have good pigmentation & all the mattes show up well on my skintone. The mattes also blended & layered well.

The formula of the Shimmer Balm (Cherry Bomb) has soft and has more of a balmy feel. The shade has tiny micro glitters scattered compactly together creating a base to the formula. The pigment is sheer but the shades can be layered & built-up for a nice shine. The formula can also leave more of a sheen if layered enough. The shimmer shades in my opinion are applied best with finger tips & with a tapping motion.

The Shimmer Glitter (Shell We Pink) are all soft and silky feel to them. All shades have tiny micro glitters scattered compactly together and also has a powder pearlescent base to the formula. The pigment is sheer but the shades can be layered & built-up for a nice shine. Not very chunky or your typical type of big glitter formula but very pretty nonetheless. The shimmer glitter shades in my opinion are applied best with finger tips or wet brush.

The Glitter (Cherry Up) shades is soft but also has a grittier feel due to the chunky glitters. The glitter formula comprises of tiny micro glitter that is tightly compact together along with bigger chunkier glitter that is scattered across the base adhesive. The pigmentation is abit sheer but can also be layered & built-up to achieve maximum reflectiveness & colour payoff but the formula can also leave more of a sheen if layered enough. All shades layers & adheres well on top of other shadows and stays in place with minimum fall-out. I find the glitter shades to be best applied using finger tips.

Overall, I'm in LOVE! I think I just found my new go to Pink palette! I love all the formula's along with all the looks I've created. The palette has a good variety of pink shades & the tones are very versatile being able to go from daytime simple looks to night time dramatic looks! I also appreciate the mid-tone pink being in a bigger pan, so I can use it as blush & do a monochromatic look easily! For me the cherry on top is the beautiful purple/blue shimmer shade that contrast but yet compliments the tones of the palette so well! Definitely a top row, top shelf product!

Couture Lip Tint Glaze (04 Hushed Cherry) is Espoir's glossy lip tint that comes in x8 beautiful colours. I selected the shades (04 Hushed Cherry) which is described as a cool cherry red shade. These Couture Lip Tint Glaze are a brand new formula to join Espoir's lip product range, it is said to deliver high shine, glass-like finish for vibrant and luscious lips.

The formula is has a gel like texture but on the lips can feel more like a syrup like consistency. It feels very comfortable, hydrating on the lips & the formula has sheer pigmentation that is buildable giving the lips a nice wash of colour.

I do notice that after abit of time, the initial pigment does absorb into the lips making the formula feel lightweight overtime. The tinting effect is quite immediate, only needing to sit on the skin/lips for a few minutes to see the effect and also is long-lasting.

The formula layers well but after a generous amount it can get stringy or goopy. The finish of this lip-tint is very high-shine & has gorgeous reflectiveness . The formula fills in the fines lines giving my lips a pump look. Overall, it's a very good lip tint with good pigmentation & it's conformable & very hydrating! Definitely recommend!

Espoir makeup honestly really surprised me, and I've feel like their products are very underrated & not really spoken about much. All the products I purchased & experienced performed better than what I expected. Espoir to me has some solid makeup with sleek & sophisticated packaging that are definitely worth the prices. After reviewing this small collection, I really want to explore more of what this brand has to offer!

Hopefully you guys manage to pick it up, it is currently selling on Espoir official Shopee Store. For the International buyers you may purchase it on the Olive Young & YesStyle website! It is really such a pretty collection with some good quality makeup, so get it while you can!
