FLORTTE X Mikko Illustration Collection is one of Flortte's recent collection that was released in June of this year for spring of 2023.
FLORTTE is a Chinese cosmetic brand founded in 2014 that offers a wide range of products such as lipsticks, eye shadows, foundations, etc. Flortte is owned by a company called Shenzhen Mira Cosmetics Co. Ltd., which is based in China. The company was founded in 2014, around the same time as Flortte, and is primarily focused on developing and manufacturing cosmetics and skincare products.
Shenzhen Mira Cosmetics Co., Ltd. claims to have state-of-the-art production facilities and utilizes advanced technology and equipment to ensure high-quality products. They also claim to prioritize environmental sustainability and have implemented eco-friendly practices in their manufacturing process. In addition to their own brand, Flortte, Shenzhen Mira Cosmetics Co., Ltd. also provides private label services for other companies, meaning they can manufacture and produce cosmetic and skincare products under different brand names for other businesses. Flortte's main distributor is The Colorist, who is a C-Beauty retailer similar to Olive Young in Korea. The Colorist, as I know does not own any cosmetic/skincare brand under them but instead consolidates popular / rising C-Beauty brands under one roof. Brands include FLORTTE, JudyDoll, ColorKey, AMORTALS, HOLDLIVE, etc.
Mikko Illustrations is an rising Japanese Kawaii Illustrator. She creates nostalgic, glamorous, and slightly sexy images of a Girl with tousled hair and perfume. Mikko Illustrations main theme is to "portray the daily life of girls" and integrate popular trends of the moment. This Girl has x4 fluffy animal friends whom she lives with who are :

FLORTTE I my opinion caters more to the younger crowd, majority of their packaging & collections are cute, fun & have a very youthful vibe to them which to me makes this collaboration a perfect fit. In this Mikko Illustrations collection Flortte released x3 7pan Face Palettes, x4 Matte Lip Creme, x10 Eyeliners, x4 Mascara Shades along with x1 Mascara Remover, x1 False Eyelash Palette & Eyelash Glue. All these products in these collection have limited edition Mikko Illustrations packaging.
I would classify them as an affordable brand where their prices are similar or comparable to Western/Asian drug store (Etude House / Judydoll / Peripera, Colorkey) but some of their formula's are similar to middle range Korean / Chinese brand products. Concept & Packaging :
FLORTTE's Mikko Illustrations Collection is such a cute & super kawaii collection. The collection has a all kinds of shades of pinks. All shades & packaging of the products have different characters printed on them, giving this entire collection a bit of uniqueness with every product.
Majority of the packaging is similar to other past collections but what really makes it special is the cute Characters & Illustrations. Overall, I love the packaging & all the details & small elements of this collection. It's very cute & girly, some products like the eyeliner comes with a matching character keychain which really adds a fun element. I also love that the eyeshadow palette protective plastic / seal comes with a printed illustration as well, I definitely wont be throwing it out! This collaboration is really a such a cute match & Flortte really did a wonderful executing it!

Mikko Illustrations All in One Palette (#02 Cotton Marshmallow). FLORTTE released x3 7pan face palette for this collection that comes with different Mikko Illustrations depending on what palette you purchase. The palettes consist of a mixture of Mattes, Matte Glitters & Glitter formulas. I purchased 02 Cotton Marshmallow which is described to be a sweet purple pink tone palette.
The formula of the Matte shades are soft and silky but is also very powdery/chalky at the same time. Surprisingly has good pigmentation but the shade does need to be built-up to reach full opacity. The matte formula layer & blend well but has abit of kickback but nothing major. For me the best application for these light pastel shade is to pack the colour on the lids with dense eyeshadow brush instead of buffing the colour slowly by slowly. I also do notice that after time, the colour does tend to lose abit of its vibrancy but nothing to drastic.
As for the Matte Glitter shades, all shades have a matte shadow as the base along with scattered glitters throughout the formula. The Matte Glitter shades are drier & grittier in texture but have good base pigmentation similar to the matte eyeshadow formula. The glitter in these shades due create abit of fall out so I recommend applying eyeshadow first before applying foundation.
The Shimmer Glitter shade is soft and smooth to the touch. The Glitter formula has tiny micro glitters scattered compactly together creating a base to the formula along with larger more scattered glitter. The pigment is sheer but the shades can be layered & built-up for a nice sheen like effect. The formula layer & adhere very well even with a brush but in my opinion are applied best with finger tips.
This is my 3rd eyeshadow palette from FLORTTE, and I'm happy they maintained the same quality as their past collection. Overall, I really enjoyed this product from the formula to the colour story & the packaging but I feel like this palette was abit light for my slightly tan skintone where some shades were very close to my skin colour.
Mikko Illustrations Rua Rua Lip Cream (#02 Strawberry). From this collection FLORTTE released x4 shades of their Matte Lip cream formula, all shades comes with their own cute Mikko Illustration packaging depending on what shade you get. I purchased are #02 Strawberry which to me is a very pretty cool tone pink shade with abit of a purple undertone.
The Lip Cream formula is thick in texture but feels very lightweight and has a mousse like consistency on the lips. It feels similar to their Lip Mud formula but is slightly thinner & smoother in consistency and is also alot more hydrating after time. It has good pigmentation leaving the lips with velvet like matte finish. The formula easily glides on the lips & can easily build-up without any patchy-ness and full colour opacity is easily achievable. With x3 thin layers, my dark lips are well covered. The formula is comfortable & fills in the fine lines giving a very soft but blurred out look to the lips. I also noticed that after the product fully sets, the formula stays on the lips with little or no colour transfer!
Overall, I really like this formula very much compared to FLORTTE's Lip Mud formula. I even tried it on chapped lips & it surprisingly was very comfortable & non-drying. I only wish there were more than x4 shades of this formula!
Mikko Illustrations Wink Wink Waterproof Eyeliner (#05 Taro & #07 Cherry). For this collection FLORTTE released x10 Eyeliners shades (Black, Taupe Brown, Red Brown, Red, Mint Green, Yellow, Light Blue, Light Pink, Dark Pink & Purple) and all shades come with a very cute keychain. I purchased the shade #05 Taro which is a soft purple shade & #07 Cherry which is a dark vibrant pink shade. If you have been reading along, I have actually tried FLORTTE's waterproof eyeliner before from their Foodbear collection & I'm happy to say the formula is the same.
The formula has a very nice consistency overall, it's not runny or thick and lays on the skin very nicely. It doesn't bleed into creases or fine lines, but instead stays put where you place it. As for the pigmentation, I'm very surprised by the overall opacity of the light blue shade. The colour payoff is very nice, and it easily layers & builds up. But I did notice that it is best to let layers dry fully before adding new layers on top, because it can move or remove the previous layer if still abit wet. As for it's claims to be waterproof, I can confirm it is! BUT if you start rubbing or smudging with water it can still come off. Also the Eyeliner has a brush tip that allows very thin & precise application. Overall, it's a very good eyeliner and I'm happy FLORTTE has maintained it's consistency in formula. Definitely worth the buy!
Mikko Illustrations Mascara Remover. For this collection FLORETTE released x4 Mascara shades & also x1 Mascara Remover (Black, Dark Brown, Taupe Brown & a Light Reddish Brown). I actually didn't purchase any of the Mascaras but instead purchased the Mascara Remover because honestly I struggle with removing mascara at the end of the day & anything that can make my life easier is always worth trying.
The formula has a watery-gel like consistency that has a slight brown-tint. The formula is said to have dual moisturizing ingredients (Vitamin E & Jojoba Seed oil) to not only make mascara removal process easier but also help bring back moisture to the lashes. The applicator has wide deep tooth grooves that help to coat the lashes evenly. Once applied to the lashes, the mascara remover feels oily but after abit of time the formula starts breaking down & dissolving the mascara.
Overall, I love this product and I think I need to purchase more. I've been using the Mascara Remover ever since I got it & I don't understand why there are not more products like this! It honestly makes the process of removing my mascara so much more easier & does a great job at it! My favourite product out of this entire collection!
The Mikko Illustration collection is very cute & I love that FLORTTE added keychains as well to this collection, it really gives a fun element. Overall, I enjoyed everything I purchased! They all worked well and I commend FLORTTE for their consistency in formula. All the products I tried had their standard formula that I loved from previous collection or had better formula that made me fall in love with FLORTTE even more! Out of all the products I purchased my STAR product would be the Mascara Remover, it worked so well dissolving crusty mascara & making the mascara removal process so much more easier! My eyeballs & eyelashes are very very grateful to that product & I will be buying more! My 2nd star product would be the Lip Cream, I think the formula is an improvement over their Lip Mud formula but wish they had more shades!
