Innisfree Jeju Color Picker 2021 Spring Collection

Updated: Apr 26, 2023

Jeju Color Picker is Innisfree's Annual Spring Collection. In This limited edition collection, Innisfree released x1 9pan Eyeshadow Palette, x2 Powder Blush, x3 Lip Tints and x1 Lip Oil in this collection all inspired by the beautiful camellia flowers. I believe this collection is only available in the Asian Region.

For those who aren't familiar with Innisfree, they are considered a Korean roadshop cosmetic brand that emphasizes on natural and clean ingredients all derived from the wonderful island of Jeju. Innisfree annually releases a collection call Jeju Color Picker project that was created to showcase and celebrate the vibrant colours of Jeju Island through its makeup collection. This year, innisfree Jeju Color Picker has been inspired by the colours of the Jeju Camellia's flowers that blooms during the spring.

Concept & Packaging :

My 2nd time purchasing any Jeju Color Picker collections from Innisfree, this year the focus or inspiration comes from the local Camellia flowers that bloom during spring. The Camellia flower produces red blossoms from the snow even during the severe midwinter seasons and endures the intense cold to burst into a flower. The Camellia flower is seen as a symbol of strength and beauty that heavily influences this collection. To be honest the colour story feels very similar to the previous year where Cherry Blossom's were the chosen inspiration, but there is slight subtle differences in tones that make this collection special and unique as well. I really do love the concept of this years Jeju Color Picker and I feel Innisfree did a really good job in representing it throughout the collection!

Products :

The images in this post are some of the products I purchased from the Collection.

Camellia Eye Palette is a x9 pan eyeshadow palette that has various shades ranging from mattes, shimmers to glitters. This Camellia Eyeshadow Palette captures x9 harmonious shades all specifically selected from petals of Camellia flower. This palettes colour story is perfect for spring, the shades ranges from your warm to cool tone beige and browns with a pop of Red as the statement shade making this palette very versatile. I can definitely create a soft glowing natural eye look as well as a warm smoldering evening time look. The overall formula of the palette is very true to Innisfree's standards. In this palette, the matte shadows are super soft and creamy but at the same time, they are slightly powdery and pigmentation is a tad bit lacking. However, this is the kind of palette where it's better to build-up the pigmentation since it does blend very well. As for the shimmers / glitters they are not the traditional blinding formulation but rather a beautiful wash of glitters, again best to built-up the pigmentation. If you don't mind a little bit more of effort, I recommend this palette for a very neutral everyday romantic colour story for the spring season. (RM112)

Camellia Blooming Blusher (01 & 02) is a pressed powder blush. For this year Innisfree released x2 shades of blushers and out of all my favourite item out of the entire collection. The stamp/embossed camellia's flower is absolutely stunning in detail and to me gives off this soft elegant sophisticated vibe. Both shades are stunning, 01 is a bright red shade while O2 is a soft pink shade. The formula is soft but stiff the the touch which is great for maintaining its beautiful floral shape but I found it hard to dispense/pick up product. Nonetheless, the shades diffuses beautifully on the skin giving a flush of colour. Out of the two I prefer 01 because of my skintone and felt like it has much more pigment compared to 02. Overall solid blushers with such stunning packaging. (RM70)

Camellia Petal Tint (02) Innisfree released x3 shades of lip tints in this collection. From this range, I purchased shade number 02 which is a midtone peachy nude colour. Formulation wise, these lip tint has a mousy lightweight texture. Creamy but also pigmented with a slightly cooling sensation on the lips. Dries down to a velvet finish with some slick, but with not greasy or sticky feeling. I love these kind of lip formula, it has such a comfortable feeling when worn. (RM52)

Camellia Relief Lip Oil For this collection Innisfree released x1 oil lip formula, this lip oil comes in x1 shade which is a bright red tint shade. I'm really starting to appreciate less is more when it comes to my makeup and leaning more towards skincare, so I somewhat really appreciate this product. I've never been into lip oil's because of the idea it will be just a heavy greasy feeling on the lips but this product doesn't have that feeling what so ever. Instead, the formula feels very lightweight almost balm or gloss like feeling on the lips. Comfortable and hydrating without feeling sticky, definitely a product I will reach for more. (RM52)

Overall Innisfree's 2021 Jeju Color Picker is a solid and beautiful collection. Honestly, I do actually prefer last years collection, only because they had more individual items like a nail set but the concept and colour story is in its own right very appealing. Out of all the products, the blushes are definitely the star of the show and my favourite item because of the details and the packaging. Every product performed well and I'm really looking forward to see next years Jeju Color Picker!
