Mac Mosaic Masterpiece is Mac Cosmetics 2020 Ramadhan / Raya collection. Mac released x1 9pan Eyeshadow Palette, x3 Lipsticks, x1 Highlighter (Extra Dimension Skinfinish), x1 Mascara, x1 Liquid Liner, x1 Kohl Crayon and x1 Brush in this collection.
Another Mac collection is out! It's like Mac is on a roll this year with collections I believe this collection was released by Mac for the month of Ramadhan / Syawal (Raya). This collection is released worldwide with the exception of United States, US will be getting the Mac Selena Part2 Collection. And to be honest, the minute I saw this on social media I was so hoping we were going to get this instead of the Selena Collection and my wish came true!
Concept & Packaging :
The navy blue colour is really what captured me to this collection, very different colour scheme from the conventional pink other makeup brands were coming out with lately. It really is a tribute to 2020's Pantone Colour of the Year (Classic Blue), other than that the intricate Middle Eastern Motif is just stunning! From the images online, you cant tell the details of the motif but in person it's a beautiful gold holographic colour! So touched that Mac has debuted a collection for the month of Ramadhan, such inclusiveness coming from such a big brand. I'm hoping other brands will take notice and come out with collections for this special time of the year as well. As for the look and feel of the Mosaic Masterpiece Collection is very heavily influence by Middle Eastern Art & Architecture, the Gold along with the Navy Blue really work well together making it look regal & sophisticated. Loving the overall look of entire collection!

Creative Copper Mosaic Masterpiece Eyeshadow Palette is a 9pan eyeshadow palette exclusively for this collection. All shades are exclusive to the Mosaic Masterpiece Collection together with the limited edition packaging. Formulation is creamy and highly pigmented which is very standard for Mac eyeshadow palettes and there are x4 different finishes in this palette with are Matte, Lustre and Frost & Satin. Shades definitely lean towards the warm neutral shades with some pops of colours. As a basic ass girl, I love an overall neutral colour story great for everyday use. So suitable for a subtle humble look for the Ramadhan month and can be jazzed up for a sultry evening look, really love everything about this palette! (RM221)

Lipsticks. For the Petal Power Collection Mac released x3 exclusive lipsticks shades (Ambersand, Tendercotta, & Clay Rose) that were specifically chosen for this collection along with limited edition packaging. All x3 shades have the same Matte formula as the classic Mac Lipsticks formulas. I purchased all x3 shades from this collection because all shades really did appeal to me cause I love me some nudes! The first shade is Ambersand it can be described as a Muted Pinkie Brown Nude, while Tendercotta is a Cool tone Mocha Brown Nude and Clay Rose can be described as a Mid-tone Pink Nude. Love the fact that Mac choose muted colours for this collections and choose to name them in coherence with that Middle East Moroccan vibe. I would say this is my favourite packaging out of the entire Mosaic Masterpiece Collection, the bullet packaging to me is so gorgeous, there's a beautiful balance in ratio between the navy blue and the gold holographic motif. Both are not overpowering each other but what made me fall in love with this packaging is when I opened the cap and saw the gold outer shell component, it's absolutely stunning!! (RM92 / USD20)
Extra Dimension Skinfinish is a beautiful pressed powder that comes in the shade Whisper of Gilt, can be described to be a light soft white with a shimmery sheen. The shade is an already existing shade in their skinfinish product line, for this collection it just comes in the limited edition Mosaic Masterpiece Packaging. To me the shade is somewhat of a neutral gold shade, will look great on any skin colour. Definitely not a subtle glow and can be built-up to reach that blinding highlight, The formula is Mac's classic skin finish range where the texture is smooth and silky not chunky and blends evenly. I'm always so amazed by how Mac has the ability to mold / stamp such intricate patterns or motifs into their pressed powder highlights, such a stunning design and is one of the top items from this collection! In Extreme Dimension 3D Black Lash Mascara. My first time purchasing any mascara from Mac and in the image it looks so much smaller than what I was expecting. The packaging shape is very unusual, certainly not like the conventional cylinder packaging. But because of that organic fluid shape, it makes the usage very ergonomic and comfortable to use. The wand and bristles is the molded plastic type, it really separates and coats my lashes evenly. Not clumpy at all, and the colour is super black. But with all mascara, layering and building up the product is needed to reach that overall desired volume and curl. Altogether, a very nice mascara. (RM128)
Kajal Crayon in Masala is a kohl eyeliner that comes in a dark brown shade called Masala. Now, this specific eyeliner from Mac is released only in limited countries. The full range is available on Mac's UK Online, fortunately Malaysia is one of the select countries that got this collection. So I definitely needed to get this to try it out, this eyeliner is certainly not the typical type of pencil kohl liner and the packaging took me by surprise as well. As for the shade it's a gorgeous dark neutral brown, I have always loved brown liners compared to black when I need to define my eyes but want to keep it natural. The formula is creamy and glides on the skin effortlessly and is super pigmented in colour. This product is something very new to me, but I'm enjoying it so far. (Rm109)
494SES Precision Blush Brush is synthetic face powder brush released by Mac exclusively for the Mosaic Masterpiece collection. The fibers are super soft that form a rounded shape, the navy blue bristles are super stunning, I have yet to see a brush with fibers this colour. Absolutely worth getting for the stunning packaging. All their limited edition brushes are always a must buy for me, well made isa very good investment in the long run! Can never have too much or enough makeup brushes! (RM192)
The only product that I didn't purchase from Mosaic Masterpiece collection was the Liquidlast Liner, the packaging is stunning but a liquid liner is just not my preference. As a whole the Mosaic Masterpiece collection is beautiful, the touch of Holographic in the design was a unique surprise that added some freshness to the packaging. The navy blue colour juxtapose with the gold really complements the overall colour scheme, it gives a bold regal look worthy of an Arabian Princess. Love every single item i purchased, as I do with majority of my Mac items. So happy that this collection was available in Malaysia, worth getting!
