One Brand Wonder : Patrick Ta Beauty.

Patrick Ta Beauty is a makeup brand by non other than Patrick Ta who is a renown Celebrity / Supermodel MUA, who has worked with names such as Adriana Lima, Jessica Alba, Joan Smalls, Ariana Grande, Chrissy Teigen, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Bella Hadid & many more.

Patrick Ta Beauty launched in 2019 and was founded by not only Patrick but together with established product specialist Rima Minasyan and seasoned entrepreneur Avo Minasyan. In November 2022, Patrick Ta Beauty brought on former L'Oreal executive, Paul Parikh, as Chief Operating Officer. Parikh has served as CFO of L'Oreal Operations for North & South America where he supported a portfolio of 35+ global brands, both in the US and internationally.

Patrick Ta Beauty's main focus has always been to make others feel great in their own skin, this passion project was created in dedication to all those who allowed Patrick to feel like himself growing up. Patrick Ta's slogan is "FOR HER, FOR ONE, FOR ALL" which really echo's his main mission perfectly.

"I WANTED TO CREATE MAKEUP THAT MADE WOMEN FEEL CONFIDENT AND BEAUTIFUL IN THEIR OWN SKIN, JUST AS WOMEN IN MY LIFE HAVE MADE ME FEEL" - Patrick Ta

I would classify them to be a luxury brand where their prices are comparable to brands like Natasha Denona, Charlotte Tilbury, Dior Beauty, Hourglass Cosmetics, etc. If you are interested in knowing more on the products and my thoughts please continue reading!

Concept & Packaging :

The entire concept or branding of Patrick Ta Beauty is to make others feel great in their own skin & their product range really focuses more on enhancing ones own natural beauty. Patrick Ta Beauty's product range is very limited in nature & new releases don't happen very often, Patrick being a well-known MUA wanted to focus more on the quality of each product launch instead of focusing on the quantity of releases, which to me really shows the love for each & every product the brand releases. Majority of their color products also have limited colour ranges (not including their foundation), Patrick has curated & developed all the shades to be able to universal that will compliment a variety of skintones.

Packaging wise to me is actually very simple when you breakdown the design elements, but it has a luxurious & sophisticated feel nonetheless. The entire product range is design in a champagne rose gold chrome like finish that gives a very high-class expensive feel & paired with the printed logo delivers a very refined look. Everything I purchased feels very nice to hold and has some weight to them, even though it can be rather simple but the design is not at all basic. When it comes to luxury branding / concepts, "less is more" to me is the better approach. The only complaint I have with the packaging design is that it can leave alot of fingerprints marks, but overall I'm in love with the concept & branding of Patrick Ta's Beauty.

Products :

The images below are some of the products I purchased from the Collection/Brand.

Major Dimension Rose Eyeshadow Palette is one of Patrick Ta's x12pan eyeshadow palettes and the colour story from this palette ranges from rose-toned neutral shades. The palette consist of x5 Mattes, x2 Shimmer / Metallic, x3 Glitter & x2 cream shade. The palette to me is also very versatile, where it can create simple everyday neutral looks along with nighttime smoky glam look as well.

The Matte (Crush, Amour, Devotion, Passion & Heartache) formulas are super soft & buttery and the pigmentation is wonderful. The mattes does have some kickback & fallout to them when being picked up but not too concerning. They also blend and layer well on top of other products.

The Shimmer / Metallic (Desire & Affair) shades it is soft, smooth to the touch but has some grittiness to them. The formula has a base colour with a metallic sheen & has very tiny micro glitters all scattered though out. The pigmentation of the shimmer glitters are sheer but can be built up to achieve maximum reflectiveness & colour payoff but the formula can also leave more of a sheen if layered enough.

The Glitter (Adore, Romance & Lust) shades is soft but also has a grittier feel due to the chunky glitters. The glitter formula comprises of tiny micro glitter that is tightly compact together along with bigger chunkier glitter that is scattered across the base adhesive. The pigmentation is abit sheer but can also be layered & built-up to achieve maximum reflectiveness & colour payoff but the formula can also leave more of a sheen if layered enough. All shades layers & adheres well on top of other shadows and stays in place with minimum fall-out. I find both metallic & glitter shades to be best applied using finger tips.

As for the Cream (Loyal & Unfaithful) shades, they are creamy & melts upon touch. The formula has good pigmentation, layers & blends well. The creme formula makes a very good base for the powder shadows to adhere to as well as being a good medium to do a cut crease.

Overall, it's a beautiful palette! It's very versatile, great for everyday natural looks but also for smoky night time looks as well. All the formulas in the palette worked so well & honestly I cannot find any faults.

Creme Contour & Powder Bronzer Duo (She's Statuesque) is Patrick Ta's Contour & Bronzer Duo that comes in x5 shades. All the shades in the range comes with a creme contour formula along with a powder bronzer formula. I selected shade She's Statuesque which is described to be for Light skintone with neutral to cool undertones & is the lightest shade from their shade range.

The Creme Contour has a creamy felling but also melts to the touch & has good pigmentation. The formula blends & layers so well even on powered skin and I notice that the cream contour doesn't look patchy nor does it disturb my makeup underneath. To me, the contour doesn't fully set & needs to be powdered down if not can transfer. The creme contour has the same formula as the blush duo.

The Powder Bronzer is soft & smooth but stiff to the touch compared to the blush duo powder formula. It also has tiny micro glitter scattered within the formula, but once applied to the skin is not very noticeable. The bronzer has good pigmentation, blends effortlessly & layers well on-top of other products.

Overall, I'm impressed & obsessed! Even though the shade I purchased is very close to my skintone & I would need to layer & build-up the product to fully see the effect, the formula is just amazing. I can understand why so many love it, the Contour & Bronzer duo really a great 2-in-1 product to have. Definitely a must buy!

Major Headlines Double Take Creme & Powder Blush (Oh She's Different & She's That Girl) is Patrick Ta's Creme & Powder Blush Duo that comes in x8 shades. All the shades in the range comes with a creme formula along with a powder formula. I selected shade Oh She's Different which is described to be a rich plum shade & She's that Girl which is a soft pink shade.

The Creme Blush has a creamy felling but also melts to the touch & has good pigmentation. The formula blends & layers so well even on powered skin and I notice that the cream formula doesn't look patchy nor does it disturb my makeup underneath. On powdered skin though I did notice that the creme formula sets abit more quickly but it still maintains it's glowy finish.

The Powder Blush is soft & creamy to the touch compared to the contour/bronzer duo powder formula. It also has tiny micro glitter scattered within the formula, but once applied to the skin is not very noticeable. The powder blush has good pigmentation, blends effortlessly & layers well on-top of other products. The formula also has slight kickback but nothing too concerning.

Overall, I'm impressed & again obsessed with Patrick Ta's creme formulas. The creme blush to me is really the standout formula compared to the powder blush. It's pigmented, layers so well on-top of anything I put it over.

Monochrome Moment Velvet Blush (She's Adorable) is Patrick Ta Beauty's powder blush product that comes in x4 shades. I purchased shade She's Adorable which is described as a Golden Peach shade. The formula is soft & smooth to the touch but has alot of fallout / kickback when being picked up.

The base coral base colour is super sheer but gives a gold reflective finish that is very beautiful to the skin. The blush is similar to to NARS Orgasm but the base colour is alot more sheer making it look like you are really blushing from within. The formula blends & builds up very beautifully on top of other products but I notice that the shine/reflectiveness can enhance textured areas like my large pores.

TBH, in the beginning I wasn't quite sure about this product. It felt more like a blush topper because of the intense shine it gives off but after several weeks of trying it out, I've really been enjoying this product. For me (Light Medium skintone) the peach pigmentation is very subtle with just x1 layer but there is still a hint of colour. Overall, it's a very unique formula. Somewhat of a combination of a blush + highlight, that gives the skin subtle natural colour but with a healthy glow.

Major Glow Lip Shine Lip Gloss (She's An Influencer) is Patrick Ta's lip gloss that comes in x3 shades. I purchased the shade She's An Influencer which is described as a pink pearl shade & all shades have tiny micro iridescent glitters scattered throughout the gloss. The formula has a gel like consistency that feel very lightweight with a oily / balmy like feeling on the lips but also surprisingly does not bleed. It is sheer in pigmentation and the base colour does not show up once applied, but gives the lips a nice shine. The formula has a non-sticky feeling but if I applied too much product/layers the formula tends to get slightly stringy. Because the formula is lightweight & not thick in density, the lip gloss doesn't really sink into my fine lines or make them look fuller or juicy. The formula is very comfortable to wear & also hydrating to the lips even after a few hours of wear time.

Overall, to me it is a good hydrating sheer lip gloss but I expected abit more shine. The formula is very nice but to me I just wanted more of a high-gloss finish similar to MAC's Lipglass Lip gloss but I would prefer to use this more as a lip balm that will help with my dry lips. I also love the tiny micro iridescent glitters unique shades, I don't have anything in my collection like this.

Major Headlines Matte Suede Lipstick (Oh She's Single) is Patrick Ta Beauty's matte bullet lipstick that come in x5 shades. I purchased the shade Oh She's Single which is described as a neutral nude shade but on my light medium skintone it can look abit pink-ish. The formula has a nice creamy texture that glides on effortlessly with no tug to the lips. It has wonderful even pigmentation, it covered my dark spots on the lips very well & I am able to cover my lips fully in just 1-2 swipes. The formula is super lightweight & has a velvet matte finish that is hydrating and very comfortable on the lips even after several hours of wear.

Overall, I think it's a great velvet matte lipstick even for those who have dry lips. I wore this on top of dried area on my lips & it really helped to moisturize those area. My only feedback is I wish there was more shades in their range!

Overall, I'm so impressed with everything I purchased & tried. Most of everything will/is my current go to product in my makeup routine & I can't help but reach for them. All the formula to me were wonderful & performed well with some going above my expectation. Out of everything I purchased, the standout product for me would be their creme formula. Whether it is the blush or contour product the formula is amazing!

I'm really in love with everything Patrick Ta Beauty, from the branding to packaging along with their formulations. Every product that I tried to me feels like it was not only well crafted but also feels very well thought off from every aspect coming from a professional MUA. I can see majority of these products not only in the hands of beauty lovers like myself but also in MUA kits. The entire Brand really represents & embodies what Patrick Ta is professionally. Looking forward to seeing more releases & hoping Sephora Malaysia brings in more products!
