Rom&and Milk Grocery Collection is Rom&nd most recent collection that was released for Summer. Rom&nd is a Korean cosmetic brand founded in 2016 in collaboration with celebrity makeup artist & YouTube creator Saerom Min (Gaeko). Rom&nd is a brand that create products and contents that reflect customer needs by cooperating with beauty influencer, who is the center of communication amongst Beautyholic consumers. They are well known Rom&nd has also won an award in the Beauty Category at the 6th Korea Brand Awards in 2018.
In this Milk Grocery collection Rom&nd released x1 10pan Eyeshadow Palettes, x3 Dewyful Lip Tint, x2 Juicy Lasting Tints, x1 Limited Edition Cushion Foundation Set & x6 Nail Polish shades.
I would classify them as an affordable brand where their prices are similar or comparable to Western/Asian drug store (Etude House / CLIO / Peripera) but some of their formula's are similar to middle range Korean products. Concept & Packaging :
Rom&nd Milk Grocery is such a fun & dreamy collection, Rom&nd to me did such a wonderful job with the whole aesthetic and colour tone for this collaboration. The packaging main base colour is set in pale yellow with hints of blue as a nice splash of contrasting colour. The collection is bright but also very muted giving it such a fun chilled-out vibe. The colour story for the products also follow suit with the entire scheme. Even though some of the shades in the lip products are vibrant but all shades have this milky pastel undertone that really ties back & suits this collection very well. To me Rom&nd really does a great job at curating collections and puts alot of thought & details into creating a cohesive collection.

*PR - Better Than Eyes (#09 Dreamy Lilac Garden). Rom&nd released a x1 10pan eyeshadow palette for this collaboration. The shades in the palette range from pretty lilac/lavender shades to deep plum shades. The palette also has some nice neutral beige & brown shades as well. The palette consist of x7 Mattes, x2 Shimmer and x1 Glitter that all have their different formulas.
The formula of the Mattes are super soft and silky but is also very powdery/chalky at the same time. The mattes has quite abit of kickback using a brush and majority of pigmentation is not bad but the colours do need to be built up. The lighter shades are actually decent in pigment but did not really suit my skintone well, as some are very close to my natural skintone. The mattes blended and layered well, and even though this palette leans to the cool tones, I did not have any issues with a shades changing in colour slightly and looking muddy.
The Glitter shade In the Market (Top Row) is soft but has a stiff texture. The formula has a lot of micro dual-chrome glitters and the shine is better compared to the shimmer shades. The glitters formula gives more of a wash of colour to the lids instead of high-shine reflectiveness. The formula layers & adheres well and is best applied with fingertips than a brush.
The Shimmer shades Fantasy Dream & Illusion End (Bottom Row) are both soft and silky feel to them. Both shades have tiny micro glitters along with a base sheen to the formula. The pigment is sheer but the shades can be layered & built-up for a nice shine. The shimmer shades in my opinion are applied best with finger tips.
Honestly I do really like the all the shades and find the palette to be very versatile. Overall, It's a nice eyeshadow palette with good formula that is easy to work with regardless whether your a beginner at makeup or even a veteran. This is actually my first time reviewing a Rom&nd full eyeshadow palette & I'm actually very surprised by the formula & quality. I love that all the shades stayed true to their colour & tone. Will definitely be starting my Rom&nd Better than Eyes Palette collection!
*PR - Dewyful Water Tint (#09 Cotton Melba, #10 Murmur Pink & #11 Lilac Cream). From this set Rom&nd released x3 shades of their Dewyful Water Tint for this collection. The x3 shades in this collection are Cotton Melba which is coral peach shade while Murmur Pink is a bubblegum pink shade and Lilac Cream is a lavender shade. The formula is sheer in pigmentation compared with the Juicy Lasting Tint, but has a nice shine/lustre finish. It's lightweight feeling and non-sticky giving the lips a nice wash of colour. The tinting effect is very immediate, only needing to sit on the skin/lips for a few minutes to see the effect but can also be easily rinsed off after the day is done. TBH, I already own all the Dewyful Water Tint from Rom&nd & this formula is my favourite current lip tint formula especially when I know I'll be wearing a mask. After the tints set / sinks into the lips there is no transfer but my lips are left with beautiful colour that last throughout the day. I love all the x3 shades in this collection and found the lighter shades to be slightly more pigmented compared to the initial launching shades! I'm is so happy to have received them & I will continue to use them!
*PR - Juicy Lasting Tint (#28 Bare Fig & #Papaya Jam). From this collection Rom&nd released x2 shades of their Juicy Lasting Tint Formula, both shades are exclusive to the Milk Grocery collection. The x2 shades in this collection are Bare Fig which is cool dusty pink shade with hints of purple while Papaya is a peach coral shade. The formula is lightweight but feels slightly heavier compared to the Dewyful Water tint. The Juicy Lasting Tint has a gel like texture which is very typical consistency of alot of lip tints I own and the formula is similar to Laka's Fruity Tint. It feels very comfortable & hydrating on the lips. The formula has great pigmentation, it covered my dark spot on my lips and gave my lips a nice wash of colour. The tinting effect is immediate but also very light & not as long lasting as the Dewyful Water tint. The formula layers really well without feeling stringy or goopy on the lips and the shine is very nice, not overly glossy but has a nice reflectiveness to the finish. The formula fills in the fines lines giving my lips a pump look that does last. Overall, I really like this formula very much, it's not drying on the lips and gives a nice effects to my lips.
*Purchased - Nu Zero Cushion Mini Set (04 Biege23) For this collection Rom&nd released a cushion set of their Nu Zero Cushion in limited edition packaging together with a mini travel size cushion. This set unfortunately only comes in x3 shades instead of their x5 shades for their cushion range. I actually have already tried a sample size of the cushions, but decided to purchase this set because of the cute packaging but to also fully test out the product & formula.
The formula is very lightweight, has the consistency of a typical cushion foundation and when applied has a nice cooling sensation. The formula has sheer to medium coverage, is easy buildable, blendable & layers well. The cushion has a beautiful natural semi-matte finish that is very skin like. The cushion evens out my skin tone but my dark spots are still visible. The formula builds beautifully & it manage to cover my faded acne marks well with a few layers on those targeted areas without looking cakey. I don't really like the initial application, the formula somewhat just sat on top of the skin but after abit of time, the cushion blends into the skin giving a very natural look. In my initial review of the tester size, I had an issue with the cushions wear time, but after testing this full size cushion with several other products I made it work for me & have been enjoying it very much! My skin very oily but by setting the face with a light veil of setting powder along with using a fixing setting spray the cushion lasted more than 7hours. My oils did seep out after a few hours but my foundation stayed in place. The cushion puff is definitely better in the full size, I appreciate the angle tip and makes applying the foundation easier. Overall, I'm slowly beginning to love this cushion formula. The formula reminds me of Mude's Hug Cushion, where it really hugs/adheres to the skin but with a semi-matte finish! Overall, a very good cushion foundation that can suit all skin types.
I really love this collection and will using majority of it. The Milk Grocery collection has some very nice shades that complement the collection well. All the products are good in formula and performed well. I love that Rom&nd creates & curates collections, I always feel they are a great introduction to someone new to the brand. Really looking forward to seeing more curated collections from them!
